We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Recruiter/HR Generalist to join our dynamic team for an 18 month contract

As an Recruiter/HR Generalist, you will assist in supporting and enhancing our HR operations to ensure the smooth running of business activities. Your role will include both administrative and strategic functions related to recruitment, training, employee development, benefits, policy management, and compliance with employee laws and safety regulations.

Scope of Work:

  • Recruitment - Lead the recruitment process from start to finish and assist with Immigration Recruitment. Develop job descriptions, postings, conduct initial phone, in person and zoom interviews. Set up and assist hiring manager’s interviews, conduct testing, background checks and reference checks.
  • Onboarding - Assist with New Hire Orientations and ensure completion of all required documentation. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process, preparing paperwork and scheduling activities.
  • Policies and Procedures - Assist in the development, communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook and organizational chart.

Assist in the following areas:

  • Training Coordination
  • Employee Benefits
  • Performance Review Program
  • Occupational Health & Safety Program
  • Workers Compensation
  • Exit Interviews
  • Employee Appreciation (including company events/parties)
Qualifications:

  • Higher education in Human Resources, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Resourceful and proactive, with problem-solving abilities and knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office and comfortable learning new technical systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset.

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
