We specialize in delivering custom, high-end renovation and design-build projects.

Summary:
This role requires a versatile, seasoned carpenter capable of completing residential remodeling projects through every phase, from initial demolition to final finish work. While a broad mastery of all trades is a significant asset, we highly value and will consider candidates whose expertise is specifically geared toward exterior skills, including decks, framing, siding, windows, doors, and roofing or interior finish specialization in kitchens, bathrooms, and full-scale interior remodels.

The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of professional experience to handle a diverse range of tasks, from structural framing to high-end interior renovations. Proficiency in framing is excellent, while skills in tile and drywall are considered significant assets. To qualify, applicants must be fully self-sufficient, possessing their own professional tools and reliable transportation.

Scope of Work:

Interior Remodeling & Specialized Finishes
  • Kitchen & Bath updates & Remodels: Complete full interior renovations including the installation of cabinetry, countertops, and hardware & accessories.
  • Finish Carpentry: Precision installation of interior trim, including doors, stairs, crown molding, and architectural millwork.
  • Wall Finishing: Perform professional-grade drywall installation, taping, and finishing, followed by high-quality painting and surface coating.
  • Custom Showers & Tile: Expert installation of tile. Must have proven experience with Kerdi materials and the construction of custom shower systems to ensure waterproof, high-end tiled finishes.

Technical Proficiency & Operations
  • Equipment & Tools: Demonstrate mastery of hand and power tools. As a senior carpenter, you are required to provide and maintain your own professional-grade tools.
  • Documentation & Logistics: Maintain an expert-level understanding of construction and technical plans. Manage digital timesheets and track material purchases accurately through company processes.
  • Transportation: Maintain reliable personal transportation suitable for commuting to various job sites with necessary equipment.
    • While our standard policy focuses on projects within a 30-minute radius, this role may involve occasional travel within Nova Scotia. Such travel is kept to a minimum, is shared equitably across the team, and requires prior notice and approval.

Safety, Leadership & Professionalism
  • Safety Enforcement: Conduct equipment inspections, document safety paperwork, and ensure all team members utilize appropriate PPE.
  • Communication: Utilize excellent verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Brand Representation: Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the company clothing and logo, representing the firm with integrity at all times.
